Ing. Marek Hekrle
Marek Hekrle graduated with a master degree at the Prague University of Economics and Business, specializing in Environmental Economics with a minor specialization in Public Administration. He worked as an economic analyst the for Ministry of the Environment, focusing on regulatory impact assessment. Currently he works as an economic analyst at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem and as a project assistant for IREAS. He focuses on economic evaluation of ecosystem services of nature-based measures in the urban environment and the countryside. As part of his research and educational projects, he applies and develops a number of methods and tools in the field of environmental economics, such as cost-benefit analysis, choice experiment method, regulatory impact assessment and methods of socio-economic research of public preferences for nature-based measures.
