Jiří Louda finished in 2017 his PhD program of Economic policy at the University of Economics in Prague (dissertation focused on environmental economics and policy).

He is an investigator of several national and international (scientific) projects at the Institute for Economic and Ecological Policy (Jan Evangelista Purkyne University in Usti nad Labem) and at IREAS, Institute for structural policy (NGO). He deals with concept of ecosystem services, especially with application of this concept in practical environmental policy. Moreover, he has been involved in projects focused on energetics for a long time.

He is a co-author of several scientific articles, studies and monographs.
